ABOUT US

The Strathmoor Police Department works under the authority of The City of
Strathmoor Village; and by inter-local agreement also patrols the cities of
Strathmoor Manor
and The City of Kingsley with a combined population of 1,386.

The patrol area is located within one of the nations largest metropolitan cities of
Louisville, Kentucky. Despite the size of the surrounding metropolitan area, these
communities proudly maintain a small town charm and warmth about them.
STRATHMOOR VILLAGE POLICE DEPARTMENT MISSION STATEMENT

The Strathmoor Village Police Department strives to be a team of dedicated individuals with a common
goal at heart.  This goal is to provide an environment within the
City of Strathmoor Village that is both safe
for the residents and those who choose to visit our city.  The goal can be achieved only by maintaining a
high level of professionalism in our agency so that the public, as a whole, maintains total confidence in our
ability to enforce laws in an impartial and courteous manner.

The officers of the Strathmoor Village Police Department strive to provide the highest level of protection,
and challenge ourselves to educate our officers to the highest level. Furthermore we must constantly
update our training and tools not only to enforce laws and ordinances, but also to educate the citizenry as
to the prevention and protection of one’s self and property.  We further realize that we represent not only
the citizens of Strathmoor Village but also the law enforcement profession nation-wide.

    Chief Renzi has over 30 years of law enforcement experience.  He served as the Chief of
    the Graymoor-Devondale Police Department for over 28 years prior to joining the
    Strathmoor Village Police Department in April 2008.

    Prior to his police career, Chief Renzi served in the Marines as a sergeant.  After starting
    his career in law enforcement, he attended the University of Louisville, graduating with a
    Bachelor of Science degree in Police Administration.  He has also attended graduate
    classes at the University of Louisville School of Education, majoring in Elementary
    Education while student teaching at Indian Trail Elementary School.
    Lou Kenny has been in law enforcement for 23 years, serving with the Louisville Police
    for 20 years in such assignments as Patrol, Intelligence Detective, Field Training Officer,
    and the Bomb Squad.  Lou also worked with the Graymoor-Devondale Police
    Department after retiring from Louisville Metro.  Lou joined the Strathmoor Village Police
    Department in March 2010.

    Lou has accrued semester hours at the University of Louisville.
    Bob Arnold has been in law enforcement for over 31 years.  After serving six years in the
    Marines, Bob joined the Louisville Police Department, where he served as a patrol
    officer for 27 years.  Bob also worked with Chief Renzi at the Graymoor-Devondale
    Police Department, joining the Strathmoor Village Police Department in February 2009.

    Bob has accrued semester hours at Bellarmine University.
    Mike Petra has been in law enforcement for 12 years, serving as a Patrol Officer with
    both the Irvine and the Audubon Park Police Departments, as a Lieutenant with the
    Evaris Police Department and as the Chief of the Loyall Police Department.  Mike joined
    the Strathmoor Village Police Department in August 2008.

    His college credits include an Associate of Arts at the University of Kentucky Community
    College Systems, an Associates of Law Enforcement at Southeast Community College,
    and a Bachelor of Arts in Paralegal Science degree at Eastern Kentucky University.
